Now we have a blog and a Facebook presence we need to photograph and record our performances if only to examine on how we appear and most importantly – sound. A kind supporter took this photo just before we commenced our 20 minutes of eclectic songs. Our leader, Ray, is introducing us. He'd reminded us all to smile more, we absorbed the message but clearly not for this picture! We look rather apprehensive, pity because we didn't need to be.
It all went very well and was great fun. It was nice to be the first choir to sing, we could then relax and enjoy the following four 'acts', all of whom were very polished and talented. Such variety of approach from each choir demonstrated their unique characters.
The Mayor of Wimborne Jeff Hart, also a valuable Jubilate bass, hosted the event which raised over £800 apparently for two fine charities – Wimborne Victoria Hospital and Planet Wimborne, the town's environmental hub.
